An installation can differ depending on the type of gas appliance you need installing for example; Free standing cookers are generally easier to install as the gas supply and oven are connected by a flexible hose pipe which allows you to move your oven slightly to enable cleaning around your oven. However, gas hob installations (which are fitted into the kitchen surface) are a bit trickier. These have to be connected to the gas supply by stiff copper pipes and have to be soldered into place.
